Original Oil Paintings

On this page you will find a list of the original motorcycle paintings which are ready to sell. They've been painted by me, Steve Dunn, during the past 15 years.

They were painted at roughly A4 size to allow easy scanning for the prints, and were done on various types of art board. To add value and make them a great investment opportunity I'm now in the process of having them all mounted in custom built Larson frames from Italy. The frame is included within the price of the finished painting and is itself worth well over fifty UK Pounds.

Oil painting frames aren't usually fitted with glass, so the surface of the painting is varnished to allow dusting and cleaning. I like to use artist's wax varnish (from Winsor & Newton), though one or two pictures such as the Ducati 996 are treated with a gloss damar varnish. Oil painting varnish is removable with white spirit and the unaffected picture below can then be recoated with a different type of varnish if wanted, and allow restoration in years to come.

The prices reflect how reluctant I am to part with them. Some I am unwilling to part with at all and will be kept for my own collection.
