The Honda RVF750, commonly known by its model code RC45, is a legendary motorcycle that was built with one goal in mind: to dominate the world of superbike racing. Introduced in 1994, the RC45 was a successor to the iconic RC30 and was designed to meet the homologation requirements for the World Superbike Championship. Powered by a 749cc V4 engine, the RC45 delivered around 118bhp, with a rev limit of 12,000 RPM. The engine featured gear-driven cams and fuel injection, providing precise power delivery and reliability, which were crucial for its success on the track. The RC45 also benefited from advanced suspension components, including fully adjustable Showa forks and a rear shock, as well as a single-sided swing-arm that made wheel changes quicker during races. The bike's design was aerodynamic and purposeful, with a focus on minimising drag and enhancing stability at high speeds. The RVF750 RC45 enjoyed significant success in racing, including victories in the World Superbike Championship, and it remains a revered model among collectors and racing enthusiasts for its performance, rarity, and racing pedigree.
