[art #401]. Limited Edition Print by Steve Dunn.

The 1977 Kawasaki Z1000, often referred to as the KZ1000 in some markets, was the successor to the legendary Z1, building on its predecessor's reputation for power, speed, and reliability. The Z1000 was equipped with a larger 1,015cc inline-four engine that produced 83bhp, allowing it to achieve a top speed of around 130 mph. This engine was an evolution of the Z1's powerplant, offering more torque and improved performance across the rev range. The Z1000 featured a stronger frame and upgraded suspension components, enhancing its handling and ride quality, making it more stable and comfortable at high speeds. The bike's design was a continuation of the classic Z-series look, with a teardrop fuel tank, quad exhaust pipes, and chrome accents, giving it a powerful and commanding presence on the road. The 1977 Kawasaki Z1000 is celebrated for its combination of raw power, classic styling, and the engineering advancements that made it a worthy successor to the Z1. It remains a sought-after model for collectors and fans of vintage superbikes.
