[art #356]. Limited Edition Print by Steve Dunn.

The 1962 Manx Norton is one of the most iconic racing motorcycles of all time, a machine that dominated the world of motorcycle racing in the 1950s and early 1960s. Named after the Isle of Man TT, the Manx was specifically designed for racing and was available in both 350cc and 500cc versions. The 1962 model featured a 499cc single-cylinder engine with a distinctive "Featherbed Frame", which provided exceptional handling and stability at high speeds. This engine produced around 50bhp, giving the bike a top speed of over 130 mph. The Manx Norton's combination of power, lightweight construction, and precise handling made it a formidable competitor, leading to numerous victories on race tracks around the world. The bike's minimalist design, with its classic black and silver livery, exposed engine, and purposeful stance, highlighted its racing pedigree. The Manx Norton is now a legendary figure in the world of motorsport, celebrated for its contribution to racing history and its enduring legacy as one of the greatest motorcycles ever built.
