powered by a 749cc inline-four engine that, in race trim, could produce
well over 160bhp, allowing it to compete at the highest levels
of racing. The R7 featured Yamaha's most advanced technology, including
a lightweight aluminum Deltabox frame, Öhlins suspension, and
top-of-the-line brakes, all of which contributed to its razor-sharp
handling and exceptional stability at high speeds. The bike's styling
was pure race-bred, with a full fairing, aerodynamic bodywork, and a
minimalist, focused design that emphasized performance above all else.
Only 500 units of the R7 were produced, making it one of the most
